Flood Victim’s House Renovated- NSS House Renovation The National Service Scheme unit of St. Michael's college is one among the most vibrant units functioning in the state of Kerala. The slew of awards it has received at the University as well as the state levels are proofs to this.It has done many commendable activities in the field of social service, of which the renovation of Madhavi Amma's home at Thaneermukkam has been the one which was highly appreciated of late. She is a destitute of Ward 8 of the Thaneermukkam panchayat, which was recently declared as the adopted village of the unit. The volunteers after a survey done in the panchayat understood that Madhavi Amma was living a solitary life in a dilapidated house destroyed by the flood waters. The unit after collecting a fund, started the renovation of the house. It was completed within a short span of time and Madhavi Amma was gifted with a new home.
