Principal’s Message

Towards Academic Excellence….

Dear Colleagues, Parents, Students, Alumni and well-wishers,

We rejoice in the success that we have achieved. We wish to rectify the shortcomings of the past and try to fare better in the future. Today we look forward with a sense of hope, towards greater prosperity and progress.

St. Michael’s College, Cherthala established in 1967 is in the trajectory of progress as a prominent educational institution on the coastal belt of Alappuzha district catering to the marginalized section of the society. More than four decades of unstinted service in the education field has placed the institution in the hearts and history of the people. It is the earnest desire of the people that the latest and the most technologically advanced education should be made available in their vicinity. To bell the cat, the College has been striving to modernize itself, keeping pace with the latest trends. The college has already been re-accredited by NAAC giving due consideration to the immense service rendered to the people around it. Right now, the College is once again preparing itself for the Reaccreditation from NAAC and hence hectic activities are going on to register the desired excellence in the academic field. Our college has already traversed a long way providing the students with a prismatic experience of growing in educational excellence.

Today we are guided by H.E. Rev. Dr. Stephen Athipozhiyil as Patron, His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. James Raphael Anaparambil, the Co-adjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Alleppey and Rev. Fr. Nelson Thyparambil as Manager. Let’s sing the Magnificat to the Almighty who has showered avalanche of blessings upon us and inspired us to rise above the complacency, clichés and the ennui of routine life and find our rightful place in the academia, which opens for us a spate of immense possibilities. The implementation of the Choice Based Credit and Semester system along with the flurry of fresh activities will certainly take us beyond the limited realms of ordinary learning experience.
